California should be CARB FREE!

The California Air Resources Board or CARB, according to the Washington Times, is threatening to require all cars and light trucks sold in California after 2012 to feature metallic reflective window glazing (i.e. tints) to keep interiors cool and thus use less air condition.
No, I am NOT JOKING! There so many reasons why this is wrong on so many different levels, OTHER THAN just more Government intrustion into your lives, such as:

Liberals fail to see the broad picture and just think Government is the solution to all - affectively killing the free market. Hmm, perhaps the Obama Administration can call these "saved jobs" since there is no way to justify that to begin with.

Remember this clown? How could you forget his hate-filled misogynistic Carrie Prejean diatribe on MSNBC's "Countdown" with Keith Olbermann? I did not think it was possible, but this segment is more disturbing -- and I won't even try to describe why because I would have to watch it again. You'll have to watch it -- if you dare. And, yes, homosexual Musto some how manages to take a last-second shot at Prejean.

Re: Divided Electorate..... Instead of a lack of Republicans showing up in 2008, what if we focused on Democrats not showing up on Tuesday? That's the point Rush made yesterday:
So I guess we could say here that there's a civil war brewing in the Democrat Party and they need to go more in the middle. The Democrat Party needs a bigger tent! The Democrat Party needs moderates! The Democrat Party needs to expand it's base! Everything that they are saying from a template about us on the Republican side we could turn right around and smack 'em with.

Rep. Michelle Bachmann, (R-Minn.) is staging a march on Washington today... kind of. Pelosi's health care bill is flying through the Senate, and she thinks its the only way to stop it is through the power of the people.
It's like the 9/12 March On Washington... only slightly more impromptu.
So go to the West steps of the Capitol today at noon and yell at your member of Congress for a while. Go ahead. Try it. It feels great.
And if you can't be in D.C., go to your local district offices at the same time. Tell them you're fed up. If you can't get to a local office, send an email to your local representative right at noon. Do something.

Politico is reporting that those massive numbers of independents and undecided moderates who swung for Obama in '08 didn't go for Christie and McDonnell on Tuesday. Rather, two separate groups of voters exist.
- Ones that got really excited about hopenchange and rallied for Obama in 2008.
- Ones that got really mad at the recent spat of Democratic proposals, and came out to support R's.
The Obama voters mostly stayed in bed this year, and the Republican voters... well, they're not really sure what happened to those in 2008. But one thing is clear: neither of those two groups had very much crossover.

As an anniversary present for the first anniversay of Barack Obama being elected the 44th president of the United States, the liberal Huffington Post recently compiled a list of ten major promises that Obama broke or did not follow up on...
This list attests to the disappointment that liberals continue to feel over one year after they helped to elect the candidate who believed in "the audacity of hope".

I just saw this CNN.com story about Robert Gibbs referring to the state elections in New Jersey and Virginia as local elections while putting a lot of emphasis on a Congressional race in upstate New York.
I might not be an expert in geography but shouldn't an election in one out of over 400 Congressional districts be considered more of a local election than a Governor's race?

2012: Disasters Strike Christianity, Fear Islam

2012, the big disaster movie starring John Cusack (that looks to be a disaster... seriously, the movie just looks bad) is about the end of the world and, as I'm sure you've all seen in the previews, uses a wide variety of special effects to destroy most of the world.
Director Roland Emmerich said he had great fun taking a CGI powered swipe at some of the world's landmarks, especially Christian houses of worship and symbols. But a major Muslim holy site managed to escape destruction.
On St. Peter's Basilica:
"Why ... don't [we] have the church fall on people's head?" Emmerich said. He added: "The whole Vatican kind of tips and kind of rolls over the people. It said something, because in the story, some people ... believe in praying and prayer, and they pray in front of the church, and it's probably the wrong thing, what they would do in that situation."
The movie goes on to destroy the Sistine Chapel and Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, the director says, "because I'm against organized religion."
The one that got away? Mecca. Even the Hollywood anti-religion director didn't want to draw the Jihadist ire of Muslims:
"My co-writer Harald said I will not have a fatwa on my head because of a movie. And he was right. ... We have to all ... in the Western world ... think about this. You can actually ... let ... Christian symbols fall apart, but if you would do this with [an] Arab symbol, you would have ... a fatwa."
He said he "wanted to" show the destruction of Mecca, but was worried about violent repercussions against him.
