Jackie Gingrich Cushman's Biography


Jackie Gingrich Cushman writes a weekly human-interest column that focuses on current events and political issues from a mom's perspective. This column is published later in the week in the Northside Neighbor in Atlanta, Georgia. Cushman also writes a monthly commentary for The Church Report.

Cushman is passionate about improving the world her two children will inherit and teaching them how to make a positive impact through their daily lives. As a daughter of former Speaker Newt Gingrich, her perspective has been shaped by a lifetime of work in the political arena.

Cushman and her father have collaborated on articles and op-eds and are working together on several projects including a visitors guide to Washington, D.C. titled "In God We Trust," as well as a book on the "Five Principles of Life."

Jackie's non-profit activities include serving on The Georgia Advisory Council for the Trust for Public Land, the board of Genesis: A New Life, and the board of the Learning Makes a Difference Foundation.

Cushman has been a guest on the Mitch Album Show, Squeeze Play on Canada’s Business News Network, and David Stokes LIVE. Her appearances regarding the Learn and Earn program, part of LMD Foundation have been run on CNN and NPR.

Jackie and Jimmy Cushman, Jr., and their two young children live in Atlanta. Jackie and Jimmy are served as the chairpersons for the 2007 Annual Garden of Eden Ball benefiting the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Jackie graduated cum laude from Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. She received her MBA from Georgia State University in Atlanta and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Jackie is a passionate and inspirational speaker, focusing on how to learn and make a difference in our daily lives.
