THE POLL: Suffolk University presidential poll of 600 likely Florida voters. (27 electoral votes) THE NUMBERS: Barack Obama, 46 percent, John McCain, 42 percent. OF INTEREST: Barack Obama has opened a narrow four-point lead over John McCain in Florida. The turmoil on Wall Street appears to be helping Obama. When asked which, if any, political party was to blame for the crisis, 39 percent blamed the Republicans, 19 percent blamed Democrats, 24 percent said neither and 17 percent were undecided. Sarah Palin appears to have had only a marginal added benefit for the GOP ticket, with 40 percent saying her presence on the ticket made them more likely to vote for John McCain, 36 percent saying less likely, and 22 percent saying they weren't sure. DETAILS: Conducted Sept. 27-30 by telephone survey with 600 likely Florida voters. Sampling error plus or minus 4 percentage points.
